PARIHAR is a non-profit organization established in 1998 and registered under the Karnataka Societies Act 1960. It was initiated by the Bengaluru City Police and is managed by a team of professional counsellors, support staff and police staff.

The organization provides multidisciplinary support to women, children & families in distress. It provides effective counselling, police support, shelter, medical & psychological counselling, legal assistance and skill development training – all free of cost.

Over the past 30 years, PARIHAR has worked relentlessly to reinforce family values and resolve disputes amicably. The organization has successfully brought together thousands of families and is working towards the upliftment and empowerment of women and children in need. Consequentially, it implements widespread awareness programs in the form of workshops, seminars, training sessions, etc across various sectors and communities of Bengaluru City to help prevent and redress crimes against women and children.

PARIHAR — Head Office is situated at Command Center, Office of the Commissioner of Police, Ali Asker Road, Bengaluru.

Parihar Counselling centers are located in 8 Women Police Stations across Bengaluru City — 1. East Women Police Station 2. South Women Police Station 3. West Women Police Station 4. North Women Police Station S. Central Women Police Station 6. North – East Women Police Station 7. Whitefield Women Police Station and 8. South – East Women Police Station.
